behind the brush

Welcome to my world, where wild Scottish meadows meet the timeless elegance of ancient castles.
I’m an artist inspired by the stories whispered through castle halls and the gentle nuzzle of horses in the Highlands. My art celebrates the romance of Scotland’s history—sunlight through stained glass, the hush of dawn over rolling hills, and the playful spirit of ponies galloping across castle grounds.

Here you’ll find a blend of muddy boots and candlelit ballrooms, windswept moors and velvet gowns. I love sharing the beauty in both the grandeur and the everyday: paint-splattered smocks, stubborn ponies, and the quiet dignity of castles standing watch over the landscape.

Every piece I create is a doorway to the past and an invitation to wander—through wild meadows with animals, ancient corridors, and the stories that make Scotland magical.

Join me as I paint the poetry of the Highlands, one brushstroke at a time. I’m so glad you’re here!

The Journey
Having spent such happy times in the countryside drawing and painting  as a child she then graduated as a graphic designer in Glasgow  with a post grad in Graphic Reproduction and later BA Mass Media & Communication. Her long career  in her own graphic Design/ Photography Studio, focused mainly on horses and children.
Studying horse communication with her own horses, helped her appreciate the total affinity, depth of bond,  trust and truth that exists within this human / horse relationship.  Painting to capture the sensitivity, vulnerability and sympathy of these beautifully powerful  animals the artist reveals the innocent connections that exist. Her Paintings seek emotional connection. She creates  with great depth of feeling in order to share her passion for the equestrian and country life.

Helping support animals in need
These paintings aim to help give a visual voice to  animals whose voices we sometimes cannot hear.  A friendship has been established with equine, animal and wildlife rescue charities.  We are so excited to offer you the opportunity to donate 25% of  the  purchase price of your chosen humanimal painting. To go directly to aid one of the charities below. We believe that sharing is caring.

"The day I lost my horse was the day I thought she had gone forever.... until I picked up my paintbrushes to paint her.  With over 20 years of shared memories, the love, trust, innocence, fun, pride, tears, joy and sheer adventure  of the past spilled out onto canvas to be captured and shared for all time, by everyone".

"I will always remember the warm sweet smell of my beloved horses breath as they gently nuzzled close, and the strength in the bond we found in one another's souls. This is the essence of what I want to share"

"If Art is a memory of Love. Then let me show you
what I have seen, what I have loved, and perhaps you will see it too xx"

"Based in Scotland, her romantic use of  oils and mixed media directly responds to her surrounding environment. She uses an innocent filtered perspective of everyday experiences as a starting point. Her deep connection with natural forms allows her to frame instances that would go unnoticed in their original context"
